BrainsGate is looking for centers to participate in its pivotal clinical trial for Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS). The trial, exploring safety and efficacy of SPG stimulation for treatment of AIS in a 24 hour window from symptom onset, is expected to start in the second half of 2008, pending FDA approval.

An oral presentation regarding BrainsGate's technology and human trial results from the pilot study, ImpACT-1 was delivered by Dr. Dheeraj Khurana, Principal Investigator, on the morning of Feb 22.

A poster about the scientific basis for the trial was also presented. Brainsate's physicians were available for discussion in booth 324.
